Privacy Policy

What we collect

You give us: your name and the email or phone number you sign in with; your age, height, weight, gender, and preferred units; your goals, drinking habits and context, hobbies, saved “why”, dependence-screening answers and score, and the persona summary built from them.

You also give us your logs: drinks (type, quantity, time, and optionally place, who you were with, and a note), moods (level, context tags, note), urges (intensity, whether acted on, triggers, note), and daily check-ins (mood, energy, sleep, stress, confidence, tonight’s plan, a win).

Your conversations with the coach, and the memory it keeps so support stays consistent, are stored too — along with which agreements you accepted and when, and anything you send as feedback.

We collect automatically: screens viewed and features used, voice-coaching minutes and credits consumed, crash reports and error codes, a device identifier, and a push token if you enable notifications.

We ask for the microphone only for voice conversations while a call is active, and for notifications only if you allow them. We do not collect your contacts, photos, or device location.

Why we use it

To show your logs, progress, and insights; to let the coach refer to what you have shared so support is relevant; to surface safety tools and crisis resources at the right moment; to verify subscriptions and purchases with Apple or Google; to diagnose crashes and prevent abuse of usage limits; and to send reminders you have opted into.

We do not use your health data for advertising and we do not build advertising profiles.

Who else processes it

Google (Firebase) — sign-in, analytics, crash reporting, and push delivery.

Ello AI — powers the voice coach; your conversation content is processed there to generate replies.

Apple and Google — payment and subscription processing. We never see your card details.

Our hosting provider — runs our backend and database.

What deletion actually does

You can delete your account from Profile. It is not reversible.

Permanently deleted: your coach conversations, coach memory and preferences, safety state, drink, mood and urge logs, daily check-ins, evening plans, your profile, any feedback you sent, and unused credit holds. Your sign-in identity is removed as part of the same operation.

Kept but disconnected from you: purchase, subscription, credit and usage records. Your user ID is replaced with an anonymised identifier so they can no longer be traced to you. These are retained to meet financial record-keeping obligations, then deleted.

Backups may hold residual copies briefly before they rotate out.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you can ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, and complain to your data protection authority.

The app has built-in account deletion under Profile. There is no self-serve export — for a copy of your data, or any other request, contact us and we will handle it.

Security

Your session token is held in the device keychain or keystore, and data is encrypted in transit. We limit internal access to those who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This app is for adults aged 21 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21. If we learn we have, we delete it and close the account.
